"Act 1465 of 1997 (the Louisiana Government Performance and Accountability Act) requires that each agency receiving an appropriation to produce performance progress reports. The purpose of these reports is to track the agency's progress toward achievement of annual performance standards.
The Division of Administration, as the official record keeper and repository of performance data, maintains an electronic database, the LaPAS to track standards and actual effectiveness. As a state agency, the Louisiana Department of Transportation submits information."
