Help
Have questions? This is a place to find some answers. Watch the screencast or read the walkthrough to learn how to use State Stats.
Using the Site
To check for publications select the appropriate region and link from under the "Publications" menu. This will display all documents and resources by State. Additionally, you can search all pages by keyword using the search box at the top of the screen.
Guidelines
To encoruage collaboration State Stats provides four guidelines for users with site access. They are: limit submissions, stay neutral, keep simple, and when in doubt don't add something. If the guidelines don't help then feel free to discuss it with others on the Message Board.
- Limit your submissions to those published for accountability or benchmarking purposes. Their purpose should (chiefly) be to report on the activities of an organization.
- Describe things in an unbiased way. Keep everything neutral and let others make up their own minds.
- Keep descriptions simple and easy to understand. Complex explanations may not make sense to others.
- When in doubt, don't add or edit a publication or related page.
Contributing
Contributing is easy. Make sure to post your agency's accountability information on-line and let us know. Or, sign up for a user account at the root MTKN Members webpage. Once logged in you can update a state publication page by clicking on the "Edit" tab, editing the text, and saving your results. Signups take anywhere from 5 - 7 days to process so bear with us.
